The original capital of the Californias until 1829, this sleepy fishing village is one of Baja's most historic cities. Stroll through the Plaza Civica, to the 'mother of missions,' the Mision Nuestra Senora de Loreto, built in 1697 by Jesuit priest and explorer, Juan Salvatierra.
